Hemp at the UCR, Glasgow and Mars

Escrito por U P º

Hemp is presenting itself at the COP26 and on Mars, but before that, it will go through the microscopes of the University of Costa Rica (UCR).

Last Thursday we attended Lady Rocket's livestream where we learnt about hemp fibers and seeds that will be travelling to Mars with NASA. The most exciting part was finding out that they're the same fibers that are currently being analysed by the UCR for eventual restoration works at the Teatro Nacional.

We had the honor of collaborating with this scientific research in favor of art, by providing them with samples for comparison with the hemp canvases identified in the paintings Musas I and Musas II: "Through modern techniques and the participation of specialists in various areas of knowledge, the UCR is investigating the state of conservation of some pictorial works of the Teatro Nacional... ", reads the beginning of the article of July 13 entitled: The challenge of unveiling the secrets in the paintings of the Teatro Nacional.

This study continues to advance, as well as plans to carry out a hopeful message to COP26, which will be be held in Glasgow, a Scottish city, during the next two weeks. Hemp could be the solution to many of the planet's health problems yet it remains to be ignored by international leaders:

The global hemp community is impressive, noble, unique. At the beginning of October we received news about the educational and music festival @beyondthe.green, taking place at St. Luke's The Barras Market for 3 days, with live music, art, guest talks, a hemp market and other solutions for a healthier, cleaner and greener planet.

From Costa Rica we continue collaborating with spreading the multiple benefits of this ancient plant, since hemp, a species of Cannabis, is also medicinal. (see legal situation with local production). Although it's most popular use is industrial (textile and construction fibers, Omega rich seeds, amongst others), cannabinoids are found in it's flowers and help with the following:

Soon we will share more advances in the space travel of hemp, its role at COP26 and its participation in the art research of the UCR. For now, we will continue to focus on education for legal CBD consumers in Costa Rica. Join the U P º club and receive the next dates for free talks:
